What We Do
We are a one-stop-shop for obtaining your building permit. All packages include site dimensions, plan drafting, printing, and permit acquisition. We do residential remodels, additions, 2nd units, and new builds, as well as small commercial remodels.

We had a really good experience with Vicente at South Bay permits and I would recommend him to my friends and family for projects that need permitting from the city of San Jose. From the first meeting, I was impressed with Vicente's company. He was very professional. He laid out expectations in his contract so that it was clear what we were getting and what the payment milestones would be.
Our design was a typical. It was a very small ADU project (less than 300 sq ft). The city of San Jose still looked at it very meticulously. The initial design phase did not take that long, however, the city came back with a few comments.
As part of those comments, we had to get structural engineering drawings. Vicente introduced us to a great structural engineer who was also very professional. I was impressed with his contacts and how quickly they responded. The quality of work for the structural engineer was high.
The whole process with the city of San Jose took a lot of back-and-forth due to bureaucracy, but Vicente was patient with us throughout the process. In the end, we did get our permitting and we are happy with the result.
